Ariel Cohen the son of a Jewish family from Morocco, is a 34 year old Israeli singer and sculptor who lives in Jerusalem with a unique and moving voice. He sings prayers and and piyyutim from all Jewish traditions.
He is fluent in seven languages: Hebrew, French, English, Arabic, Moroccan, Ladino and Spanish.
He began his musical career in the army, in a military band – and also participated in projects and performing for Jewish communities in Israel and abroad, on behalf of Keren Hayesod.
In 2008, he performed at the Eurovision Song Contest and represented Israel as the accompanist of Boaz Mauda, with a performance that entered the top ten (ninth and honorable place), followed by touring throughout Europe and Canada. Ariel also performed together with the famous singer, Moshe Peretz, in Caesarea and in various venues throughout Israel.
Ariel is now performing in Israel and in Jewish communities around the world on behalf of the World Zionist Organization.
Ariel is involved with many projects , He performs in Belgium and France, in the “Shirat HaCohanim” project together with Cantor Uziel Sabato,; with the Andalusian Orchestra “Almograbia” and at festivals in Israel and abroad..
Ariel is also currently working on his debut album a compilation of prayers, piyutim and original songs written by him.
